Aloo Dum


Aloo dum…

Ingredients:
  • Baby potatoes peeled
  • Onion chopped 1 large
  • Oil 3 tbsp
  • Ginger-garlic paste tbsp
  • Cloves 4
  • Bay leaves 2
  • Peppercorns 8
  • Green cardamoms 4
  • Cinnamon 1 inch stick
  • Tomato chopped 1 large
  • Onion paste 1/4 cup
  • Garam masala 1 teaspoon
  • Salt to taste
  • Yogurt whisked 2 cup
Preparation:
  1. Prick the potatoes and deep fry them till golden.
  2. Drain and remove on absorbent paper. Heat oil in a non-stick pan, add onion, ginger garlic paste, cloves, bay leaf, peppercorns, cardamoms and cinnamon stick.
  3. Saute till brown.
  4. Add chopped tomato, onionpaste and little water. Mix well and allow the mixture to boil. Add garam masala, salt and curd. Toss well and add 1/2 cup water and fried potatoes.Cook on low heat till the gravy thickens.
  5. Serve hot.
