Ingredients:
- 1 and 1/2 cups gram flour or besan
- 2 tbsp semolina
- 1 and 1/4 cups water,
- 1 tbsp oil
- 1/4 tsp soda bi-carb
- 1 and 1/4 tsp eno fruit salt
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 tsp sugar
- 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp green chilli paste
- 1 tsp ginger paste
- 2 tsp lemon juice
Tempering:
- 1 tsp oil
- 1 tsp mustard seeds
- 2-3 green chllies slit into long pieces
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 3/4 cup water
- 3 tsp sugar
- 2 tbsp finely chopped coriander
Preparation:
- Sift gram flor. Mix gram flour, semolina, water, oil, salt, sugar, turmeric , chilli paste and ginger paste to a smooth batter of a thin pouring consistency. Add eno and soda. Add a few drops of lemon juice, Beat well for a few seconds.
- Immediately pour this mixture in the steamer or a dish. Steam for nearly 20 minutes till the dhoklas are soft.
- For tempering mix oil, chillies, mustard seeds, water, sugar and lemon juice.
- Pour over the dhokla.
- Cut into pieces and sprinkle some coriander leaves.
