Ingredients:
- 2 cups chirwa or beatn rice
- 1 tbsp finely chopped tomatoes
- 1 tbsp finely chopped tomatoes
- 2 tbsp boiled potatoes
- 3 tbsp oil
- 2 pinches hing or asafoetida
- 1/4 tsp haldi powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp red chilli powder
- 1 green chilli chopped
- 2 tbsp coriander chopped
- juice of 1/2 lemon
Preparation
- Put the chirwa in a strainer and wash it under running water for a few seconds till it gets soaked.
- Heat oil. Add hing, then splutter the mustard seeds.
- Now add the curry leaves and haldi.
- Add salt and red chilli powder
- Add onions, tomatoes, peas and green chilli.
- Cook for a few seconds.
- Add the chirwa and stir occasionally till dry
- Add the lemon juice and mix well.
- Serve garnished with chopped coriander leaves.
